A basic rule of thumb when arranging your wedding is to speak with your own parish priest first, that is, the parish at which at either one of the couple live at present.
Weddings are by arrangement with the Parish Priest.
Any couple intending to be married in St Patrick's, Anderston, will be expected to complete the West End Deanery Marriage Preparation Course.
The course is offered twice per year. On average, the Deanery prepare 100 couples for marriage each year. The courses run in Lent and September, on four consecutive Fridays, in Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Mitre Rd., Glasgow G11 7EF, tel: 334 5330.
Each session lasts for one hour, from 7:00 -8:00 pm.
As part of the Archdiocesan Marriage Preparation Programme, coupples on this course are also expected to take part in the FOCCUS programme, run by Scottish Marriage Care. Details can be obtained from the parish priest.
